Scientific Visit of Prof. Dr. Izabela Zaborniak to a research group specializing in polymer-based drug delivery systems at the University of Camerino!

From 1–8 March 2025, the project leader, Prof. Dr. Izabela Zaborniak, completed a scientific research stay at the University of Camerino, Italy, in the research group led by Prof. Roberta Censi.

Prof. Censi’s research group specializes in the design and characterization of advanced drug dosage forms, with a particular focus on controlled and modified-release systems for active pharmaceutical ingredients. The group’s research includes the development of innovative polymer-based systems and multicomponent pharmaceutical formulations, the analysis of their physicochemical properties, and the evaluation of active ingredient release profiles under in vitro and in vivo conditions.

During her stay, Prof. Dr. Zaborniak delivered a lecture on modified drug release systems, with particular emphasis on sucrose-core polymers, which constitute a key component of the project. The presentation generated considerable interest and provided an opportunity for discussion about the potential applications and implementation prospects of the developed materials.

The research stay was part of activities aimed at internationalizing the project and developing the research competencies of the team.

The stay at the University of Camerino represents an important step towards the further development of the project and strengthening its scientific and application-oriented potential.
